报告摘要:When the Lyapunov exponent in a quantum chaotic system saturates thebound, it is proposed that this system has a holographic dual described by agravity theory. In particular, the butterfly effect as a prominent phenomenonof chaos can ubiquitously exist in a black hole system characterized by ashockwave solution near the horizon. We propose that the butterfly velocity canbe used to diagnose phase transition in holographic theories. We provideevidences for this proposal with two sorts of holographic models. One is theholographic superconductors, in which we find the derivative of butterflyvelocity with respect to the temperature is discontinuous at critical points.The other sort of holographic models exhibit metal-insulator transition (MIT)which is supposed to be quantum. We find the derivative of butterfly velocitywith respect to system parameters characterizes quantum critical points (QCP)with local extremes. We also point out that this proposal can be tested byexperiments in the light of recent progress on the measurement ofout-of-time-order correlation function (OTOC).
