报告摘要:

In this presentation, I will introduce our recent works in the fields ofcavityandwaveguide quantum electrodynamics (QED). On the one hand, in the field of cavity QED, we proposed a new type of cavity QED system, which allows us to exponentially enhance the single-atom cooperativity parameter. It overcomes the Q-V trade-off, i.e., Q being directly proportional to V, in the conventional cavity QED systems. On the other hand, in the field ofwaveguideQED, we investigatedthechiral interactionand disorder of qubit array inducedstrongly correlated photons.We found thatchiralcavity-waveguide interactionor the disorder in the transition frequencies of qubits can induce photon antibunching, and especially nearly perfect photon blockade events.We also will introduce our recent work regarding the exotic long-range interaction and the associating quantum many-body phases in topological waveguide QED system.Our works is of fundamental interest in expandingthefieldsof cavity andwaveguide QED, and has potential applicationsin the on-chip quantum information scienceandquantum simulation of strong correlatedmatters.

吕新友,华中科技大学物理学院教授,博士生导师,国家自然科学基金“杰出青年基金”、“优秀青年基金”和湖北省“百人计划”获得者。主要从事腔量子电动力学(QED)和腔光力学等方面的理论研究。
